How We're Funded 100% of the care and support we provide is free of charge to patients and their families at the point of service. As displayed below, we therefore rely on a number of income streams to fund the vital end of life care that St. Margaret's Hospice provides. This includes; donations, grants, retail stores, fundraising activities, lottery and legacies on top of the NHS contribution. Last year we received roughly £2.6m from our local NHS Clinical Commissioning Group to contribute to our clinical costs. To deliver our services in the year ahead, we anticipate that our clinical costs will amount to £7.5m. This highlights a heavy reliance on the charitable support of our donors and local community to ensure that we can continue to provide vital end of life care across Somerset. To find out more about our operating costs and income, our latest set of accounts can be viewed below. 2016/17 Accounts Thank you We are incredibly grateful to all the individuals and organisations that support us – without you, thousands of local people facing the challenge of a life-limiting illness would struggle to receive the care and support they need.
